I’m a dog photographer and storyteller, sharing life with my husband Blake, our rescue pups Bert and Bodie, and a baby boy who already seems very comfortable around dogs.
Based in Fredericksburg, Virginia, our days are a mix of time outdoors and time at home—long walks and adventures balanced with plenty of couch time and snacks. It’s a rhythm that shapes how I work with dogs in the studio, too.
Why I Do This
I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember, especially dogs. What began as a quiet fascination grew into a desire to capture and tell their stories in a meaningful way.
As a child, I told those stories through drawings and picture books. Today, I tell them through photography, capturing expression, personality, and connection in a way that words can’t.
To me, dogs aren’t accessories or side characters. They’re family. They bring humor, comfort, and presence into our lives, and they deserve to be remembered with the same care as any loved one.
My Approach with Dogs
What matters most to me is creating space for each dog to be themselves.
Some arrive full of energy. Others need a little more time or reassurance. Every session is paced with intention, meeting your dog where they are and allowing their personality to come through.
Working in a private studio allows each session to unfold without pressure or distraction, creating an experience that feels supportive for both dogs and their people.
